Open Orchestra at Beaver Folk Dancing

Next Open Orchestra: April 25, 2007

Musicians are invited to play for international folk dancing at our open orchestras, held about four times a year. Dances are taught to recorded music 8:00 to 8:30 p.m.; open orchestra plays 8:30 to 10:00 p.m. Click here to see some pictures from one of our past open orchestra evenings.

Music is led by Sue Anderson and International Folk Sounds.

Bring your instrument and a music stand (one can be provided if you forget yours). Music will be provided. (Bb  music is available for nearly every tune.)

Music is international folk dance music including commonly danced tunes such as Zemer Atik, Bufčansko, Karagouna, Bavno Oro, and Kortanc.

If you can read music and have an instrument come on out. The evening is free for musicians and the dancers are always an appreciative audience.
