Instruction
We always teach at a beginner's level for about the first half hour, so if you are a
beginner, you want to be early to take advantage of instruction. However, Beaver Folk
Dancing is not essentially a class--instruction is not cumulative, with each week building
on the week before. Sometimes we will teach or review a more complex dance or two
later in the evening, often a dance that has recently been taught in a workshop. The rest
of the evening is usually a nice mix of easy and more challenging dances; a beginner can
stay till the last dance and always know that there will be something to try. If it happens
to be the second Wednesday of a month, you will probably be treated to dancing to live
music, when accordionist John Matulis plays.
