Why "Beaver"?

We are the former "Beaver College Folk Dancing"

Murphy Gym at Beaver College had been home to Beaver College Folk Dancing for nearly twenty years when it was partitioned into faculty offices and communications and art studios at the end of May, 1996. Where once we danced, there is now a warren of halls, dry wall, drop ceilings and fluorescent lights. Beaver College treated our group well for all those years, often going beyond the necessary to accommodate our needs. We appreciate everything the College did to help us maintain our weekly event.

When we moved to Or Hadash, we were faced with an "identity crisis." We were known everywhere as "Beaver College Folk Dancing." We opted to refer to the group henceforth as "Beaver Folk Dancing at Or Hadash."

Then starting in 2009, folk dancing came once again to Arcadia (for Arcadia students) spearheaded by student Yoanna Koleva, an international student from Bulgaria! Good job, Yoanna!
